the noise figures presenting their first album at six dogs. all images shot with the olympus om-d e-m1 and the kit lens.
the noise figures presented their first album last night at six dogs. I am very proud of this for two reasons: one, I really like the music. two, I shot the album cover - it was one of these concerts with no lights, no space, no airconditioning, lots of people and only one gin available: gordon's. yet, despite all these shortcomings, the photos came out nice and the guys over at bob studio decided to use one of them for the album.
on the technical side, I was given the new olympus om-d e-m1 to test, and I put it through its paces last night. I couldn't get olympus to give me a nice set of prime lenses, so I had to make do with the olympus m.zuiko 12-50mm/f3.5-6.3 - I mean, really, what's the point of having such a nice camera and using it with the kit zoom lens? this camera deserves a bright wide-angle prime lens. any camera, actually.
images 1,2,3,5 and 6 were shot at ISO 3200 - the rest were shot at ISO 5000. I put them through Adobe Camera RAW 8.3RC and pushed them a bit - most of the images received a half-stop push, some others (the blue ones mainly) were pushed one or one-and-a-half stop. and yes, my shutter speeds were ranging from 1/6sec to 1/60sec, what with the slow kit lens and the low lights.
