preface

I got my hands on the sony a99 yesterday, courtesy of fotografos magazine and sony greece. I wasn't planning to shoot the cribs concert because I am busy preparing my upcoming exhibition, but I found myself with a little bit of extra time last night, I was very close to the venue and I decided to throw the new full frame sony camera right into the fray. I knew I would face low lighting, mostly blue, red and purple. I didn't have my favourite carl zeiss 24mm/f2 with me but sony had provided the carl zeiss 24-70mm/f2.8, a truly amazing zoom lens.

I also didn't have time to check all the new stuff on the camera - I'm still a bit hazy on the autofocus system, how to select a single autofocus point and make the camera stick to it, etc, but all in all the a99 is very much like the a850 I have been using for the past two years, so I instantly forgot about the camera and concentrated on the concert.

all of the following images are shot at iso 6400 (except one which is at iso 16.000).
